Really sad not to have seen many butterflies this year. Caught a glimpse of one reddish species early on when the weather was really hot but not to identify as it was flying too quickly. Only seen cabbage white so far and just a few of those as well. Butterfly Conservation Org (President - David Attenborough) is running a Butterfly survey from 16th to 31st July 2011. All you have to do is a 15 minute observation of your intended patch on a bright sunny day, and fill in the findings online:

Well Johnny Nash may not like this, but I loved the beautiful flowers ...prob won't see these species in the UK?!!! ...but then again who knows with Global Warming?!
